“Head” means Mayor of a Town Corporation or Chairman of a Union Council;

any premises used or intended to be used for the provision of healthcare services, including but not limited to a hospital, teaching hospitals, surgical centers, maternity homes, nursing homes, clinics, dispensaries, dentistries, dental clinics, clinical laboratories, x-ray laboratories, diagnostic centers, ambulatories, cosmetic centers, psychiatric hospitals, burn units, psychiatric nursing home, community mental health center, hemodialysis center, dialysis center, patient rehabilitation center, slimming clinic or centre, hair transplant clinic, domiciliary care, home based services and such other healthcare or health-related premises as the Federal Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, specify

a medical practitioner and dentist registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, nurse, midwife, community midwife, female family workers or lady health visitor registered with the Pakistan Nursing Council, a tabib registered with the National Council for Tibb or homeopathic practitioner registered with the National Council for Homeopathy or pharmacist registered under the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan Act, 1967 (XI of 1967) or paramedic, allied health professional or physiotherapist, psychologist or any other person qualified and permitted by law to provide any medical, surgical treatment or other healthcare service as well as any person qualified to perform any health related test on human body or test any body fluid under a laboratory process and provide results of such test to confirm or determine any health condition or physical or mental ailment

any medical, surgical, dental, allied health, ambulatory, patient accommodation, screening or diagnostic services, treatment of persons suffering from or believed to be suffering from any disease, injury, pain or disability of mind or body, burn or hurt treatment, wound dressing, physiotherapy, acupuncture, any service for curing or alleviating any abnormal condition of human body or mind by application of any apparatus, equipment, instrument or device or any other medical technique or method, hemodialysis treatment, preventive or promotive health treatment, services at healthcare establishments by healthcare professional

the highest Court of criminal appeal or revision for a province

the High Court having territorial jurisdiction in respect of the area for which an Anti-terrorism Court has been established

the Islamabad High Court

means the High Court concerned

means (a) the High Court within the jurisdiction of which the aggrieved party ordinarily resides or carries on business or personally works for gain; and (b) where the Government is the aggrieved party, the High Court within the jurisdiction of which the respondent or in a case where there are more than one respondent, any of the respondents, ordinarily resides or carries on business or personally works for gain

High Court" means the Islamabad High Court, Istamabad;

any unlawful seizure or exercise of control, or any attempt at unlawful seizure or exercise of control, of an aircraft, by force, violence, threat or any form of obstruction, directly or through any other person, from within or outside the aircraft

“Holder of public office” means a person who- (i) has been the President of Pakistan or the Governor of a Province; (ii) is, or has been the Prime Minister, Chairman Senate [ , Deputy Chairman Senate], Speaker [**] National Assembly, Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Federal Minister, Minister of State, Attorney General and other Law Officer appointed under the Central Law Officers Ordinance, 1970, (VII of 1970) Advisor to the Prime Minister, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Federal Parliamentary Secretary, Member of Parliament, Auditor General, Political Secretary, Consultant to the Prime Minister and holds or has held a post or office with the rank or status of a Federal Minister or Minister of State; (iii) is, or has been, the Chief Minister, Speaker Provincial Assembly, Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly, Provincial Minister, Advisor to the Chief Minister, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary, Member of the Provincial Assembly, Advocate General including Additional Advocate General and Assistant Advocate General, Political Secretary, Consultant to the Chief Minister and who holds or has held a post or office with the rank or status of a Provincial Minister; (iv) is holding, or has held, an office or post in the service of Pakistan, or any service in connection with the affairs of the Federation, or of a Province, or of a local council constituted under any Federal or Provincial law relating to the constitution of local councils cooperative societies or in the management of corporations, banks, financial institutions firms, concerns, undertakings or any other institution or organization established, controlled or administered by or under the Federal Government or a Provincial Government, other than a person who is a member of any of the armed forces of Pakistan except a person who is, or has been a member of the said forces and is holding, or has held, a post or office in any public corporation, bank, financial institution, undertaking or other organization established, controlled or administered by or under the Federal Government or a Provincial Government or, notwithstanding anything contained in the Pakistan Army Act, 1952 (XXXIX of 1952) or any other law for the time being in force, a person who is a civilian employee of the Armed Forces of Pakistan; (v) has been, the Chairman or Vice-Chairman of a zila council, a municipal committee, a municipal corporation or a metropolitan corporation constituted under any Federal or Provincial law relating to local councils; (vi) is or has been a District Nazim or Naib Nazim, Tehsil Nazim or Naib Nazim or Union Nazim or Naib Nazim. Explanation.-For the purpose of this sub-clause the expressions “Chairman” and “Vice-Chairman” shall include “Mayor” and “Deputy Mayor” as the case may be, and the respective councilors therein; and (vii) has served in and retired or resigned from or has been discharged or dismissed from the Armed Forces of Pakistan;

the office of the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory

means the office of the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory

the holding of a person captive with threats made to kill or harm that person if demands are not met

a household where the aggrieved person lives in a domestic relationship either singly or along with the respondent

“household” means individual who comprise a family unit and who live together under the same roof;
