any farm, cattle-shed, cow-house, milk store, milk shop or any other place from where milk or milk products are supplied

any unauthorized change in the ordinary working of an information system that impairs its performance, access, output or change in location whether temporary or permanent and with or without causing any change in the system

content data and traffic data

alteration, deletion, deterioration, erasure, relocation, suppression of data or making data temporarily or permanently unavailable

the working day, in the Federal territory, notified by the Federal Government from time to time

debenture stock, bonds, term finance certificate or any other instrument of a company evidencing a debt, whether constituting a mortgage or charge on the assets of the company or not

a person to whom a loan is advanced

any person from or through whom a defendant derives his liability to be sued

and includes any deliberate or aggravated treatment inflicted by a public official or a person acting on his behalf against a person under their custody, causing suffering, gross humiliation or degradation of the person in custody

goods are said to be in a "deliverable state" when they are in such state that the buyer would under the contract be bound to take delivery of them

voluntary transfer of possession from one person to another

the directorate of labour and industries, Islamabad Capital Territory

means the directorate of labour and industries, Islamabad Capital Territory

“Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau” means the person appointed as Deputy Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau by the Federal Government;

the Deputy Commissioner of the District concerned, and includes any other officer appointed by the Authority to exercise all or any of the powers and discharge all or any of the functions of the Deputy Commissioner under this Ordinance

a Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Corporation elected under section 12

“Deputy Mayor” means a Deputy Mayor of a Town Corporation elected under section 16;

place within limits of Moza Sangjani Islamabad or any other area specified by the Government, by a Notification in Official Gazette

any public authority established by the Government in this behalf under any law for the time being in force

the external development works and internal development works on immovable property

(a) physical device or article; (b) any electronic or virtual tool that is not in physical form; (c) a password, access code or similar data, in electronic or other form, by which the whole or any part of an information system is capable of being accessed; or (d) automated, self-executing, adaptive or autonomous devices, programs or information systems

any person occupying the position of a director, by whatever name called

the director of directorate of labour and industries, Islamabad Capital Territory

shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in clause (13) of section 2 of the Companies Ordinance, 1981 (XLVII of 1984)

means the director of directorate of labour and industries, Islamabad Capital Territory

officer appointed or nominated as such by the competent authority for the purposes of this Act

Director General of the Food Authority

Director-General of the Anti-Narcotics Force or any other officer appointed by the Federal Government to perform the duties and functions of the Director-General under this Act; and

intention to cause injury, wrongful gain or wrongful loss or harm to any person or to create hatred or incitement to violence

“dispute” means any dispute or conflict between employee and employer or between employer and domestic worker which is connected with the terms of employment of a domestic worker;

the area specified in section 2 of the Capital of the Republic (Determination of Area) Ordinance, 1963 (Ordinance VI of 1963)

the High Court in its ordinary original civil jurisdiction

the district judiciary subordinate to Islamabad High Court

the intelligence committee headed by the deputy commissioner or district magistrate, Islamabad Capital Territory, Islamabad and comprising the representatives of police and intelligence agencies

means the intelligence committee headed by the deputy commissioner or district magistrate, Islamabad Capital Territory, Islamabad and comprising the representatives of police and intelligence agencies

the Judge of a principal Civil Court of original jurisdiction

the Deputy Commissioner of ICT

the division to which the business of this Act stand allocated

any information or data recorded in any legible form or through use of modern electronic devices or techniques whatsoever, including books and papers, returns, requisitions, notices, certificates, deeds, forms, registers, prospectus, communications, financial statements or statement of accounts or records maintained by financial institutions in respect of its customers

includes a bill of lading, dock-warrant, warehouse keeper's certificate, wharfingers' certificate, railway receipt, warrant or order for the delivery of goods and any other document used in ordinary course of business as proof of the possession or control of goods, or authorising or purporting to authorise, either by endorsement or by delivery, the possessor of the document to transfer or receive goods thereby represented

a relationship between persons who live together in a household and are either related by consanguinity, marriage, kinship, adoption, or are family members living together

as assigned to it in section 3

“domestic work” means any work which takes place within or for the household and includes child care, old age care, sick care or natal/post-natal care and matter ancillary thereto;

“Domestic worker” is a person who provides services of a domestic nature in a household;

cash, kind, land, building, animal, animal hides or anything of monetary value

any property given before, at or after the marriage, either directly or indirectly, to the bride by her parents in connection with the marriage but it does not include property which the bride may inherit under the laws of inheritance and succession applicable to her

a sewer, a house drain, a drain of any other description, a tunnel, a culvert, a ditch, a channel or any other device for carrying sullage or rain water

as is assigned to it in the Drugs Act 1976 (XXXI of 1976).

affixation of an adhesive or impressed stamp or e-stamp of not less than the requisite amount and that the stamp has been legally affixed, used or electronically generated

any building used substantially for human habitation
